Overall, I am satisfied with the education Widener gave to me to become a nurse. The one thing I have to say is that they have poor taste in choosing some professors. We had professors who did not believe in us and even verbalized it. This video went viral on tiktok so you can see that it actually happened. Otherwise, the education was good.

I thought that my time at Widener was well spent. Despite being a smaller school, there were several options for different psychology classes. The application of what we learned was fantastic. Positive psychology was one of my favorite classes at the university. All of the professors were great

This is a great program for someone who is going straight to grad school from their bachelors with no work experience. If you have years of experience in the field, not so much. I had to find my own internship placements both years. Although you are assigned staff to assist, they have so many other students, they cannot prioritize any one person. Most of the internship opportunities are places you can get hired WITHOUT an MSW. I expected a placement that would give me masters level experience or... Read More

Participating in Widener's Online MSW was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The faculty members are not at all supportive ( at least of some students -I can't speak to others' experiences, though I've had people reach out to me on other forums to say they have had the same experiences in this "program") they label and judge the students, and are not educators by any means. After reading reviews on every site I can find, I've developed the theory that the majority of the MSW faculty and admins... Read More

Widener University offers an Accelerated Reserved Seat Pre-Physical Therapy program that allows students to finish out their DPT in six years, rather than seven. This program has helped me in many ways and helped me save a lot of money and time in tuition costs. In addition, to this amazing program, Widener University is a diverse culture that focuses on community and leadership. It is a fairly small campus with small class sizes so you get to know your professors and faculty really well. People... Read More

Widener University is a small school with an intimate classroom experience. Students are on a first name basis with faculty members. Professors take time to meet with students outside of class for questions and advise. The university has great relations with the surrounding community and provides many opportunities for its students to get involved in community engagement. Employment rate for graduates of my doctoral program is 96% within 6 months following graduation.

As a new student with Widener University's Online Master of Social Work program, I have been supremely impressed with how very thorough the program staff have been with getting new students oriented to not only the university's program in general, but also to the specifics of how the program is run via the online platform. The staff have, likewise, been very open and thorough (thus far) with communicating the importance of key curricular points, helping to translate this information into our real-world... Read More

I started my college career as an environmental science major. I struggled with the curriculum as I didn't have a strong enough background in the math and advanced sciences needed. My science academic adviser helped me reconfigure my courses to a minor, and I switched my major to social work. The Widener Social work program is built with two goals in mind: to do clinical social work and eventually earn your masters in social work, and to double as a psychology major. Since I wanted to do community... Read More

The school challenges me to do my best and to push myself. It has increased my knowledge while working with various individuals and populations. It has brought the best out of me because I did not think I was able to do it and have my grades be good. I have received so much support while enrolled at Widener. I am part of their family and that is felt through every interaction with their staff.

The social work program has a curriculum that provides smaller classrooms for more individualized attention and more hands-on learning as they allow students to engage in service learning and internship possibilities. Professors encourage students to be out in the field and applying their learning in the classroom to their learning environment out of the classroom.

Widener University's online MSW program is wonderful. Professors have worked in the field and have hands on experience working in the field of social work. The curriculum is rigorous, very reading and writing intensive, and everything you learn will be applicable to your future or current career. I have applied so much of what I've learned so far at Widener to my current career as a therapist for children with ASD. I would highly recommend the program to anyone looking to peruse an MSW. Widener is a small university, the Master's in Social Work program teaches relevant material that will be applied out in the field after graduation. My biggest issue with the program is the process for internship placement, and the quality of other classmates is questionable at times.

Widener university was the best decision I have ever made in my life and I have had to make many decisions in my youth. This past year of being out of Wideners DPT program solidified my choice. I honestly couldn't have chosen a better place. So many oppportunities were handed to me because of this place, and I am truly honored to have taken every opportunity this university has provided to me.
