It was a good school with great scholarships. I did have an issue with an advisor who poorly planned my degree path. I ended up having to take a more expensive class from another school because the one I needed was not being offered in my final semester. That was the one problem I had here

I quite enjoyed my time here, and I thought that the instruction that was provided was quite useful. The professors I had here were very good and personable. There was a lot of varied class instruction, and the academics were challenging and thorough. Campus life here was also quite good, and I would highly recommend this as a college to anyone.

Worst experience of my life 1/10 they are making me pay for the spring semester room and bored when I didn’t even attend college during spring ( they said I didn’t check out properly but no one was in the building ) I then got a call in February saying I needed to come so they can check the room so I drove all the way from Sweetwater I called the number they called me on to make that appointment and I even knocked on the door multiple times loud and no one answered (they said an RA is is on call... Angelo State University is an amazing educational institution. Since many students from surrounding small communities are enrolled, it has a small-town feeling with all the amenities and quality one would expect from a four-year university. Not only were teachers top notch, they were able to take a personal interest in each student since class sizes were not too large. I always enjoyed the classroom atmosphere and conversations fostered by smaller class sizes. During my time at ASU, the university... Read More

The biology program at this school does not know anything about the economy of the 21st century. They offers no financial assistance to their grad students and offer only once class that is actually graduate level. If you have no other choice, go here.

ASU was the best college I could have chosen. This university provides merit-based scholarships that allow students to graduate debt free. The staff takes personal stake in their students' success and challenge you to grow and accomplish far more than you expect of yourself.

I'll speak for this program. The professors are great, except for the guy who taught Research Methods in 2017. I reached out to all my colleagues, and they didn't get the professor's direction either. He should have provided examples of what he was looking for. Otherwise, all the other professors are great. Dr. T. is most helpful in guiding you through to the end. Dr. B. is tough, but he will prep you well for good research and preparing your bibliography. These guys were my favorite. I highly recommend... Read More

Angelo State University provided an excellent opportunity for quality education. My professors were well-qualified and very concerned about their students. The small classroom size allowed for individualized teaching opportunities. My professors were always available and willing to help.

My University and professors provided me with the proper tools to succeed. Professors went out of their way to provide support and educational assistance at a one-on-one level while still being professional. Even being enrolled in an online Master's program, my educators have taken the extra step to show that they care about their students achieving their personal and educational goal. They figured out your goals and held you accountable to your ability. There were plenty of extra curricular activities... Read More

Angelo State University has so much to offer both undergraduate and graduate students. Being a mid-sized public school, it is not only appropriate for most families but also affordable. It's not the most well known institution in Texas, but it should be better known. It's got wonderfully strong undergrad programs, small class sizes, and great post grad options. I'm in the Masters of Education Student Development and Leadership Program. As a current high school college access adviser, I recommend... Read More

The advisors and admissions staff have been incredibly helpful in the process of applying to graduate school and registering for classes. So far, in all of my courses my professors have been engaged in the material and have always been extremely responsive when students have had questions regarding course material. I was nervous at first about attempting a fully only graduate program, but the process through Angelo State University has been smooth, and each course has been laid out in a way that... Read More

Angelo State University's Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communication primes students to succeed in post graduate studies and in professional life. It is a degree that is niche and flexible at the same time. Students learn critical life skills, such as interpersonal, intercultural, and linguistic skills. Additionally, the program does a great job at helping students feel like they are part of a community through extra curricular programs. If a student's strengths lies in public speaking, researching,... Read More

When I attended ASU I thoroughly enjoyed my department. The class sizes were small and you had a lot of classes with the same professors and students so there was a good sense of community. I would have liked to have given more opportunities in graphic design (growing program) because that is what I initially went to school for but I felt like I was teaching the teacher more than he was teaching me.

This is a great program for those interested in ISSA. This is one of a few schools outside of American Military University that offers this program. USAF officers who completed the 14N course also have the opportunity to transfer credits from that course!

Really nice little university. It offers anything you could possibly need, including a newly renovated gym. I liked most of the professors I had the pleasure to meet. I won't lie, I feel like it used to be a lot better when I started there in 2009 but it's still not bad.

Degree: Criminal Justice

The criminal justice graduate program at Angelo State consists of solely online classes, which brings about a fair share of both pros and cons. I personally feel the pros out weigh the cons because it allows the student to work on their on pace and teach themselves much of the material. However, I can understand why some people may argue the opposite. With online classes, discipline is required. The professor is not always on hand for help, therefore,. the student must be disciplined to stay on top... Read More
