The program at ETSU is disorganized at best. The department lacks cohesion and students receive very little support. Leadership and campus involvement is lacking. Students are treated like children. Foundational classes are crammed together with no regard for true learning.

I looked into many programs before choosing ETSU. The professors are always very approachable and are very concerned with your education. They truly want you to succeed and are happy to help assist in any way they can to ensure you are developing as a PT. This program has a lot of clinical education time incorporated into the program throughout the 3 years which is the number one reason I chose ETSU. Faculty were not always available or approachable. Many courses were not relevant or did not provide much usefulness in preparing for clinical rotations. Determining a schedule is also very difficult and often not determined until a few days before the semester begins.

The graduate program is a difficult one to get into for physical therapy and I now know why. This school's physical therapy program is one of the best kept secrets in the United States. The program is challenging and prepares us well for clinical situations. The school itself is great as well. My program I believe is one of the best in the state of Tennessee. The professors are great and the program is very strong. The only con that I have is that the program itself has a very limited amount of physical space. It is only on one small floor and the classroom space is sometimes uncomfortable.
