Florida Atlantic University has excellent programs and colleges of the like. For my undergrad studies, they provided great quality teaching and the material presented in lecture is solely based on the experience of the mentors, who have either become professors through their own academic endeavors, or had first hand experience working within the field, whether it be in corrections, like Professor Langois, or with the DEA like Professor Richard Mangan. Read More of study, there's also plenty of opportunities and groups to take part in, such as the ACJA (American Criminal Justice Association), or taking on an internship with the onsite campus police department and even have the chance to work as a CSO (Community Service Officer) while working on your studies!

I attended Florida Atlantic University in 2011 to 2015. Before I chose to attend this university I weighed the pros and cons. I will start by saying FAU is an amazing up and coming school. Each year the school is becoming more difficult to receive admittance. In 2011 FAU opened up a football stadium which made my college experience amazing. Read More my freshman year I joined the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, which I eventually became president of, making my four years unforgettable. The greek organizations are not as extreme as the larger schools, due to the lack of campus housing for these organizations. Therefore, hazing and degrading acts are not tolerated, allowing for the members within the organization to build friendships and network. The academics of FAU are excellent, majority of professors are interested in their topics and care for the students. If a student is lacking in academics, there is a specific building for tutoring, called the student learning center. They cover majority of classes, ranging from geography to calculus, and the best part is, its free! However, there are cons to every school. While FAU is an exceptional school, the on campus housing is extremely expensive and strict. I recommend to find an apartment off campus after your freshman year, as it will save you money. However, that is my only complaint in regards to FAU. Furthermore, to any incoming students, FAU is an exceptional school that is going to be an A+ school within the next ten years. I highly suggest considering it for your undergraduate degree.
