I loved attending FIU and had great professor and classes. I'm glad that I was able to attend such a great school close to home. I would recommend FIU to other students who are on a budget and live in Miami or those who just want to stay close to their parents.

I like FIU overall, the only negative thing I find about it is that they should have a College of Pharmacy for those wanting the PharmD I think they should expand in that area because other universities are in other cities and they tend to be more expensive

Florida International University is a good university, however I did not receive much career guidance during my time there. This could have been due to the fact that I was a part time/full time student who mostly went to class at night or took online classes. I was not the traditional college student. I had small children and I worked full time. I never went to see an academic advisor or went to see a career counselor. I knew I wanted to study international business, so FIU was my top choice since its program is ranked 6th on the nation according to US news. Its graduate program in International business is also in the top 15 nationally. But what sealed the deal was a combination of factors. Its location in Miami, FL (best weather in the US, 20 min form Miami Beach), the university is improving year by year in academics, rankings and influence.

Great professors and online learning was very convenient, while still getting the same level of commitment from professors and peers as courses taken on campus. The degree really helped me achieve many career goals and obtain the position I wanted to be able to have once I graduated.
