I applied to Full Sail during a difficult time in my life. I had spent years feeling stuck and burnt out. My friend (who graduated last year) recommended I apply for one of the programs at Full Sail since I've always been an artist at heart. Art and entertainment as a career used to feel like this big mystery, but now I feel like I'm more capable of navigating the industry. It feels like I can make a place for myself in it. I'm excited for the future.

Full Sail was a great experience that helped me grow creatively and professionally. I gained valuable skills, worked on real projects, and learned from hands-on experiences that prepared me for my future career in 3D animation. The instructors, projects, and overall environment helped me become more confident in my abilities and gave me a better understanding of what it takes to work in the industry.

My time at Full Sail University was worth it's own weight in gold. My future could not have shaped without my time here. It was over 10 years in the making for me to attend this school due to the financial inability to afford higher education. When the opportunity opened up to study here I immediately jumped on it to finally pursue my dreams of working in film.

If you are looking for a traditional, slow-paced college experience with long summer breaks and light elective classes, Full Sail University is not it. But if you view it less like a standard university and more like an elite, hyper-focused creative boot camp, it is easily one of the most unique and powerful educational environments in the world.

The school was great, and the instructors were very helpful. They told me I would be doing a lot of work since it was online. They were right, I did a lot of work, they were not playing around with that. The only thing I wish is that we spent more time on demo reels, and we didn't wait until the very end to start working on one. Besides that, I have nothing but good things to say about the experience.

Please think about your schooling options for at least a year before deciding to attend this university, because despite it being more affordable than most art schools out there, 90% of the cases I've seen it's not worth it. You don't even really need a degree for most art career paths, I would genuinely suggest teaching yourself through online tutorials on your own free time than to attend this school. It's extremely expensive, and for what you get in return I don't think I got my money's worth.... Read More

Great school to learn the basics of what you want to do. However, with only learning the basics by graduation I either haven’t heard back from the job posting/internship or they sent back a “we went with someone more qualified. I wouldn’t be mad about this but for how much my degree cost I should have been more prepared by now. So, now I’m stuck in Florida with a high rent, because Full Sail doesn’t have student housing, having to work two minimums wage jobs to afford it.

I was hell going through this school. You can forget everything you learned after only a month. No breaks from this school. Teacher help was mixed some quick others slow. Late school work don't get me started. You can ask for extension, but some teachers will still give you reduction in points. The positives is the launch box items and while there is no breaks you can work ahead to get a day off. If you want your degree in less than 3 years here you go, but if you don't stay away.

The instructors left a bad taste in my mouth. The did this because it seemed like they did not communicate well with others instructors or myself. Had a couple of them towards the end that were rude and hard to deal with. Seemed like they didn't have the time. Then the videos for the classes were way to old and need to be updated every year or when there is a update to software.

My time at Full Sail University was filled with many experiences that helped me learn everything I need to know about computer animation. I highly recommend it to any up and coming artist. Another thing that I enjoyed was doing the classes online. I was able to fit my classes and work to align with my schedule which was very versatile and convenient.

I started Full Sail in January, i was very excited to pursue the Computer Animation program until I actually started the course. It is a very difficult course which should not be learned or expected to be perfected in 4 weeks. My 3DF teacher also discouraged me heavily by mentioning to the class “if you guys think you will be in the company you want to work with when you graduate you are wrong a lot of students do not get to reach their goal (which we did a class assignment discussion and everyone... TL;DR is this: Full Sail Instructors are so out of touch with their students. The assignments have so many typos, bad links, and obviously have no interest in properly teaching their students. If the assignment isn't done the way they want it done (professional level) even though we only JUST learning - then it's a 0 or a MASSIVE deduction in points. Don't waste your money - please just look up YouTube videos to teach yourself (it's no different from the many classes I've had so far where they simply... Read More

Admissions is honestly a joke, here's why. My twin and I attend this school and they kept getting me confused with him and messed up my documents. Due to this, I was forced to push back my start date to a later one. Now on to the staff, the staff do not care about you are education what so ever. You would be lucky to even get a response to a question from your instructor and when your day it would take 24 hours even when your instructor is online. They force you to use various social media to stay... Read More

For those interested, I have detailed a full account of my time at Full Sail University in my blog. To all the many naysayers of this school I do want to address a few things: You get what you put into your education anywhere you go. Half of being in these industries that Full Sail attempt to prepare you for are based in deadlines and being able to meet them. If this is discouraging, this might not be for you. Ask questions! Many professors or students love to be asked for help! If a teacher is not... Read More

Where do I begin!? Okay, well this is a FOR PROFIT ...lets call it organization that will be MORE than happy to accept your money! The credits are as useful as a mosquito bite, the instructors are often rude and take 2-3 weeks to grade your material, the work is that of "writing a personal statement " ...seriously! They do monthly plans that take days worth of discussions, the work most has nothing to do with anything! You can EASILY get and maintain a 4.0 gpa here! So if you want to pay gobs and... Read More

Online school gave me the flexibility to work in the field and go to school at the same time. Also going to school online was significantly cheaper than going on campus. Do not expect to just do the course work and get a job. You need to work in your off hours developing you skills and portfolio to stand out from the rest. If you do not do this, you will be leaving bad reviews on this site blaming the school instead of yourself. Most of my teachers were knowledgeable about their subject and very... Read More

Full sail is a for profit school, you don't need any prier education just as long as you can pay them. I can't speak for every degree program in the school but mine, the computer animation program. If you pull out a loan the average pay in your carrier wont be enough to cover the monthly payments of your loans. The programs are at a pace that will cause burn out rather quickly in the field that you chose to study. After you earn your degree you will have a less than 50/50 chance of finding work in your field. Here is the real kicker. Once you get your degree it is not worth that paper that it is printed on. I am moving on and going for another degree at a state local college, I checked several including USF and NONE of my credits will transfer, I have... Read More
