The program was clearly defined and established and the quality of much of the instruction was high. In particular, the director of the program was wonderful, invested, caring, and kind. Some professors were more helpful than others, but all provided relevant insight and experience.

I overall had a good experience at the school. It was a new area that I have never lived in or really had been to before. It was very diverse as far as the groups of people there, as well as many new facilities being constructed at my time there. Overall, it was a good experience, but it would be considered much more of a commuter school.

I really enjoyed taking online classes at George Mason for a few reasons. It was really easy to do, with some professors allowing you to work ahead or at least on your own time. I also liked all of my professors and felt like they were very knowledgeable, and were kind and helpful to students. Lastly, I liked the range of classes and was able to express myself while earning my degree.

I can't speak for the rest of the departments, but the arts department at GMU was absolutely phenomenal. (Almost) All of the professors I had throughout the game design and studio art majors truly helped me meet my potential and grow as an artist and designer.

I found that GMU is very supportive of students and wants their graduates to be successful. I found some of the classes lacking for my program, but I took courses through the consortium and through the Smithsonian. Overall my education set me up for a future career.

Both the quality of the teachers and the coursework itself were superb, and I felt that I was able to significantly expand my professional capabilities while contributing to my preferred fields of expertise. I highly recommend this college to any prospective enrollees.

I attended George Mason University. Overall, my experience was positive. The university has a very diverse student population and offers many academic programs. One of the biggest advantages is its location near Washington, D.C., which creates good opportunities for internships and networking. The campus facilities are modern and the professors are generally knowledgeable. It is a good place for students who want practical experience while studying.

On paper, a lot of great things, and most of them are true. Fantastic location, great opportunities (I had an internship in japan as an English major), decent food selection, and a massive variety of extracurriculars and minors to go down. You can supplement pretty much any major you want with enough minors, and the population is large enough that it's very unlikely that a class doesn't reach the minimum applicant amount. The big issue is the on-campus social environment. If you don't already align... Read More

I had a very good experience at GMU. My mathematics professors were excellent. Courses were rigorous and intellectually demanding. On-campus resources included job fairs, resume clinics, and interview coaching. Additionally, the Russian language and culture program at GMU is superb. We had a weekly Russian club where we would study and help one another with homework. We were also able to visit the Russian embassy for film screenings. My only issue with GMU is its limited and expensive parking.

I started taking classes at GMU after 2 years of community college. I never really had any bad teachers there and it is a relatively calm environment on campus. I would say it is extremely diverse and there is a lot of different people there. Campus was nice and clean really easy to find your way around.

I studied at George Mason University, and my experience there was very positive. It is a very good school with a supportive environment for learning and personal growth. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The staff and professors were approachable, helpful, and genuinely cared about students’ success. Whenever I needed guidance—whether academic or personal—there was always someone willing to listen and assist.

The classes were well-structured and engaging. Most professors explained things... Read More

The campus environment was another thing I enjoyed. It is clean, safe, and easy to move around. There are many places to study, relax, or meet friends. The community is diverse, and I met people from different cultures and backgrounds, which helped me grow and understand the world better. There are also many clubs and activities where students can get involved, make friends, and discover new interests.

Overall, George Mason University is a great place to study. It provides quality education, a strong support system, and a welcoming community. I learned a lot during my time there, both inside and outside the classroom. I would happily recommend the school to anyone looking for a good university where they can learn, grow, and feel supported.

George Mason isn't perfect, but you can get a decent education for a pretty good price. It's cost effective, just don't expect outstanding education and connections. Campus life is also nearly non existent for both undergrad and graduate students. Its more of a commuter school

I feel scammed by this GMU. I applied to GMU with one day to spare for the deadline to register. They took more than 48 business hours to process my application causing me a late fee. This is the second time in a row that they do this. I strongly feel like they deliberately do this to take advantage of new students. GMU also creates unnecessary holes to jump through in the registration process in order to increase the chances of a late registration. I have applied to close to 20 different universities... The leadership within this program consistently and utterly fails students. It can be deemed a money-making scheme. Not only will leadership and several professors be insufficient in teaching content within courses- when you fail, it is your fault and none of their own. The consistency in grading, present content and information, and helpful feedback from professors vary greatly from semester to semester. You never know what you are going to get here but it will never be accountability. Please for... Read More

I think the overall grade of the university itself is a 3/5. The specific program I went through however, forensic science, deserves a 5/5. The forensic science department at George Mason University is out standing. The professors are real world working adults who have had their experience working in the field (mostly government) and get to share their knowledge and experience with their students through their teaching. The program is very straight forward about their expectations and works with... Read More

If I could give this place zero starts I would. If you left this place and want to come back do so within 10 years or less as if you are 10 years and one day you are out of luck. They will accept the general courses but any classes that is a core course for your major will have to be taken again. So all the time and money that you had spend to get your degree is gone. In my case I had two classes left to finish but now I have to retake two years of classes if I want to get my degree from them. Right... Read More
