The program, in its' current form, is an unorganized mess. The advisors have no idea about course electives, curriculum requirements, or changes. Often course curriculum will change (it has three times since starting the program) and the advisor will make you change courses, even though you entered in a different catalog year. It takes the advisor weeks to get back to you and registration sometimes closes before you can get the information you need or permission to enter a course. Each of the professors... Read More

Indiana University has an excellent MSW program. I would highly recommend it. The instructors are excellent, and the diversity of the students makes the learning in the classroom a rich and fulfilling experience. I am learning valuable information to help me in my career.

IUPUI is a great school in a great city. Indianapolis is a large city that has the feel of a small intimate town, the best of both worlds! The campus is easy to find your way around and (most) professors are really great about communicating with you if you have questions. The other great part is that if you are going into medicine, IUPUI shares a campus with Riley Hospital for Children and University Hospital with IU Health so you have direct access to learning in field.

Good social work program. Staff cared for students. Some of the adjunct professors weren't that good. I liked how there were specialties

The program has strong instructors with in depth knowledge of the material who also provide valuable feedback. I am in the online program so this is very important to me as well as other students. The con is that since I am in an online program, I do not have as much access to the thoughts and input from fellow students. I do not consider this a con of the program, but a con of online programs in general, however, it is necessary for those of use who work full time and have families.

Overall, I am really grateful for my experiences in the Master of Social Work program. Working and attending graduate school has been difficult as well as being in my practicum. I did not qualify for other financial assistance other than student loans; however, I believe this program is worth the time and effort that I have put into it. I know that the learning and experiences gained through this program will enhance my professional practice and service delivery.

I love that I can pursue a Master's Degree online, but still get to meet people at orientation. It give you the sense that you aren't doing this alone.

I really love the experiences I have received as an MSW student within my practicum placements. Networking has also been amazing. With that being said, I believe there needs to be a greater emhasis on the academic side of the program. Some of the classes and professors were great but several others were subpar.

Being in the very beginning stages of the Graduate program through Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis, I can honestly say it has been an easy transition from my undergrad program. I am enrolled in the Online MSW - Direct program and am very excited to get my graduate school underway. I have had the privilege to speak with different offices to make sure that all of my paperwork and documents were submitted on time and have received the best support from all of the individuals that... The MSW online program has made it easier to work full time while attending grad school. The coursework is very interactive and still makes you feel connected to a class room setting. I do not feel I am missing out by completing school online.

The IU School of Social Work in Indianapolis has a great program that harbors great group of faculty right in the heart of down town Indianapolis. The campus itself is extremely diverse with international students who come from all over the world. The faculty is very knowledgeable and experienced in their field of studies. They are always willing to help their students succeed through providing educational experience and professional networking. A downside to this institution is perhaps the parking.... Read More

The School of Social Work Masters Program at IUPUI is a program that is competitive with others. The school has given students access to a great education through efficient and high level teaching that helps students to excel and critically think. The only downside of the program would be the accesibility to extra-curricular courses to help students learn specific things they are interested. This is in the work for future years and the staff is always willing to listen to the students to keep improving... Read More

I'm very happy with my experience at IUPUI so far. I'm grateful to be among likeminded individuals in a learning environment. As a full-time employee, wife and mother I appreciate the flexibility of our programs Saturday cohort.
