NYU Law offers a rigorous legal education with excellent clinical and extra-curricular opportunities in public interest. Faculty and staff care about students and are committed to helping students learn and succeed in their careers. Additionally, NYU's location is fantastic for professional opportunities, and the school attracts incredible guest speakers who work in, or are traveling through, the city.

NYU is a wonderful school for self-motivated students. It's an incredible opportunity to be in the city; you have access to so many internship and other work opportunities. It is a very large school, so you should be prepared to feel like you're one in a very large crowd.

This school is the best for public interest legal work, which is what I am pursuing.

NYU is an amazing school with great opportunities. One wish I have is for the physical facilities of the campus to be more attractive (in line with peer schools) and provide space for the gatherings required by having such a large class-size.

Awesome community of people. NOT cut-throat, but quality education and peers (for both public interest and firm track students). School does a lot to support people. That said, it could do more for diversity, and cost of living in New York City is expensive...

NYU Law school provides you with an excellent legal education in a more relaxed setting then other similarly ranked law schools.

This school has been the best experience of my academic career. New York is awesome, the job prospects are awesome, the professors are awesome, and above all the people are awesome. Can't recommend it enough.

If you think you are going to hate law school, NYU Law is a pretty good place to go to get your mind changed.

The pros are certainly the impressive and active professors, the camaraderie among the students, and the location in Greenwich Village. However, even living in law school "subsidized" housing is quite expensive, and finding a place off campus may be very difficult for some people. The other major con for me is lack of need-based scholarships/grants. It seems like the school gives out a great deal of full scholarships instead of spreading the aid among more people.

Overall NYU is great. It has the same issues as most other law schools but it also comes with living in NYC, which is quite expensive.

Pros: NYU loves its students, and you feel it at every step of the way. Sometimes if you have a double-block of classes [two of the same class in a row] your teacher will get you food to hold you over! Further, the area is great and NYU has more social events than a person who's just turned 21. Cons: New York City is expensive, generally. Everyone is so smart and talented that it can be intimidating sometimes, but that's really a pro, since that brings everyone up to a higher standard.
