I could not speak more highly of Ohio State. While it may be intimidating to go to such a large school, especially coming from a smaller high school, the opportunities you receive going here are beyond compare. With so many majors to choose from, there is a path for everyone. Along with that, there are so many student organizations and involvements that fit everyone's interests. I loved the classes I took and the friends I made there. I would highly recommend Ohio State to anyone thinking of going... Read More

Overall, my experience at Ohio State was a very good one. In terms of academics, there was plenty of opportunities and majors, leading to allow me to switch rather early on with ease. The classes themselves offered challenges and learning, and for the most part staff was helpful. There is no shortage of things to do at campus either - theres Dtix, events, clubs, and an overall really great experience to make connections and friends.

Attending The Ohio State University (OSU) as an undergraduate is a quintessential "big campus" experience that offers a staggering array of opportunities, provided you know where to look. While the university is often defined by its massive, almost inescapable sports culture, students who don’t find community in the stadium will still find a rich, multifaceted environment. One of the university's greatest strengths is its relative diversity. Within the context of the Midwest, OSU acts as a significant... Read More
Academically and professionally, the resources are nearly unparalleled. Because OSU is situated in Columbus, the bridge between the classroom and the workforce is remarkably short. The networking potential with "Columbus powerplayers" is a genuine competitive advantage. Whether you are interested in state government, Fortune 500 companies, or the burgeoning tech scene, the university’s deep-seated connections facilitate internships and mentorships that are difficult to replicate elsewhere. Ultimately, OSU is what you make of it. If you can look past the sea of scarlet and gray on Saturdays, you’ll find a powerhouse institution that excels at career preparation and provides a diverse, intellectually stimulating home for four years. It is a place designed for those ready to leverage a massive network to build a specific, individualized future.

As a high school student, I was accepted to OSU. However, I chose to take a slightly different enrollment approach. After completing coursework at a local community college, I eventually made my way down to Columbus. I am forever grateful for that transfer! Initially, the campus felt very large and overwhelming. Thankfully, it didn't take long to feel at home and comfortable in my surroundings. I graduated nearly 20 years ago, but I can still remember specific days from my time spent on campus. I... The school I attended was a very good school. The education was top tier and the staff was very educated. The professors are very focused on their education but also made nursing school not seem dreadful. The environment was very welcoming. The nursing school put on a live simulation which really put into prospective an emergency situation and how to delegate tasks and how to properly prioritize patients.

Overall, great school. Very large campus atmosphere, that can be overwhelming at first. The dining hall food is decent, and they have a ton of other dining options on campus that accommodate student meal plans. Lots of great places to study and hang on campus, but by my senior year, I cannot stress enough how crowded campus became. They love themselves when it comes to football and medical things, so if you're into that, come here.

I attended the online Master’s program in Data Analytics at The Ohio State University while working full time. The program was well organized, challenging, and professionally relevant, and I appreciated the flexibility of the online format. I ultimately decided to pause my studies because balancing graduate coursework with a full-time job became difficult, and the pace moved faster than I could comfortably manage alongside my responsibilities. Overall, I had a positive experience and would recommend... Read More

Ohio State was a surprisingly welcoming environment coming in as a transfer student from another university. The size of the institution offers a vast amount of coursework options, including access to certain graduate courses as an undergrad to demo potential grad school options. The location in Columbus also provides a large amount of professional development and networking opportunities outside of the classroom to get a leg up on peers in securing job opportunities post graduation.

Overall, I would say that Ohio State is a great higher education institution - especially for those wanting to experience as much variety as possible within different cultural sectors. As a first-generation bachelor's and graduate certificate graduate from OSU, now actively working on a Master's degree, I can say the time spent has been worth it. I'm definitely a better person since being associated with the University since Autumn 2011.

OSU is an incredible school with a beautiful campus. It is very large, so you must put some effort forward to find groups, but thanks to its size there is likely a niche for everyone. If you enjoy sports, this is obviously an incredible location. Academically, it definitely depends on the program. Being a Big Ten School and a research university means you will have access to a wide range of resources and libraries.

Great school! It is what you make it though. Plenty of involvement offered both for academics and fun! I would highly recommend attending but being mindful during class selections and reviewing professors thoroughly. It’s easy to get lost in large class sizes so finding time to attend office hours is a huge plus to get to know your professors.
