I am scheduled for graduation on February 17, 2024, and this has been a great experience. All the professors are attentive and accessible. If you have any questions, they are always available to answer them. Being a non-traditional student with outside responsibilities makes school a challenge, but my experience with this University leaves me with a positive feeling. I would first like to thank the entire staff for the excellent knowledge they have given me regarding health information management. At this university, my dream has come true. Several reasons make me like Purdue Global. 1. First and foremost, it was effortless for me to manage my time. 2. Students could perform their studies at their own pace. It was difficult for me to return to university after 20 years as an international student. Thank you to all of the devoted, experienced faculty and advisors... Read More that helped me a lot to achieve my dream 3. The faculties are very kind, humble, and always ready to support. It was an injustice if I took one faculty name. All of them had tremendous support during my studies. One suggestion, if the university could make some arrangements for international students to pay their fees, then I would say. Then I believe that no university can compete with Purdue Global. If I get a chance in the future to study, I will prefer Purdue Global.

The Health Informatics program is very informative and seems to cover a lot of ground. Despite the comments here, I have found the instructors to be easy to work with and helpful. However, the instructors are COMPLETELY hamstrung by the lecture schedule. For example I have a lecture from 10pm - 11pm on Tuesday nights. This covers the topic for the assignment DUE at midnight! There is no possible way to incorporate items from the lecture or guidance on the subject into a paper/project due in an hour.... Read More This is one of the really unfortunate parts of Purdue Global. It would be like saying, "research a route and drive to California....and when you get there, we will tell you if the route was correct and suggest better alternatives. Oh, and grade you one route you chose!" I have been very fortunate my instructors will answer emails and questions regarding the assignments due on Tuesday nights, but honestly is it so hard to adjust the lecture schedule to discuss a topic the week before it is due? Who else does this kind of silliness?? My adviser has been outstanding and when she left the replacement adviser had all my data and information and the transition was seamless. Very professional and nice. I can't answer questions about transferring credits to other facilities because that was never my plan. My RN degree is from a community college so I'm no stranger to not being able to transfer credits. But the price was right and the idea of online appealed to me. Will agree with what many have said here, though. It is what you make of it. I NEVER miss a lecture even though I'm exhausted by 11pm after working all day, always ask questions, never turn in late assignments, and contact my instructor by email. This will be a 2-star rating, though, because of the unprofessional lecture schedule not the instructors.
