I really enjoy this school because of the awesome professors. They really know their stuff and they go out of their way to present it to us in a way that is easy for us to understand. I also like my classmates because they are always willing to share resources and help me out when it is needed.

I have really enjoyed my time at TTUHSC school of medicine. I think that it has a good location and that it has plenty of different health professional schools so that I can practice collaborating with future health care professionals. I have also enjoyed the accessibility of all of my professors.

This school is truly amazing. I am honestly shocked at how quickly I adjusted to medical school. I'll talk to my friends at other medical schools and realize that I am the only one who actually loves being in school and loves what I'm learning. I'm so glad I came here.

TTUHSC is an amazing institution. While I am only a semester into my degree, I have already begun to appreciate this school and the opportunities presented to me. If you are determining which medical school to attend, I highly recommend Texas Tech!!!

Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) and specifically, the School of Medicine, is the absolute best school in the state. I am so glad I chose to come here - the faculty and students are kind, the community is welcoming, and the curriculum is appropriately paced.

The playing field is completely unlevel. I wish I had known about the masters program here so I could get ahead. The professors say they treat students the same, but they do not. The GBS students and their P3 group members are completely ahead of the rest of us. GBS students tell their tank to focus on this muscle or that nerve while the rest of us have to memorize everything. I wouldnt have to memorize every cranial nerve, if I knew you were only going to tag III or VI. Not only do the masters students... Read More

The TTUHSC SOM not only cares for its students, but matches this with outstanding research and quality faculty mentors. The institute prides itself on providing an environment that is conducive to student success. Not to mention, they are very generous with financial aid.

Great program. The school is very supportive in many different aspects. Faculty members are very open to feedback. The student population is friendly and helpful. The residents are open to teaching students. The campus is currently building more space to accommodate for the growth of the program.

This is an amazing health sciences center. The school of medicine is superb. I contribute all of my success in medical school (AOA, top board scores, matching at my number one residency programs in a very competitive field) to the environment and support staff and faculty. They are always open to changing the curriculum to better suit students needs, they are extremely supportive of students interests as well. One of the other great attributes of this medical school is that you will leave being very... Read More

I am currently a Senior Medical Student about to graduate. Texas Tech provided a great education at an affordable price and gave me the opportunity to attend a residency I could only have dreamt of attending four years ago. The faculty is caring and the students are fantastic. I truly believe, overall, that we had the best match this year, in Texas. Students in my class are going to Mayo, Hopkins, OHSU, UTSW, Baylor, Cleveland Clinic, Case Western, Dartmouth, and that is just to name a couple of... Read More

TTUHSC School of Medicine is top notch! When I was looking at all of the Texas medical schools on paper, I originally wasn't planning to rank TTUHSC high. It seemed far away from more urban areas and was told it was in the conservative "Bible Belt". On interview day, I was completely blown away. The students and faculty is SO MUCH MORE friendlier and pleasant. The campus was much nicer, parking wasn't a disaster like other med schools, and there is literally no traffic. The faculty know you by name... Read More

The program is directed at training laboratory professionals in molecular disease and diagnostics. One of the great things about the program is that you spend the vast majority of your time in the lab applying material learned in class. Lectures are given online and in class, but make up only 30% of your workload, everything else is about working in the lab and developing your technical skills. Another great aspect of the program is the research portion. Each student is required to conduct scholarly... Read More

The Texas Tech University pharmacy program is highly clinic-geared. Very little focuses on retail, independent, research, or compounding pharmacy. This may be seen as a way of the future for pharmacy schools, as the role of a pharmacist expands into a more clinical based practice. Many students who go into this program with hospital pharmacy in mind feel very fulfilled and happy with the program. However, some students feel that they will never face the scenarios we are usually presented with, because... Read More
