If I could leave zero stars I would. I took a majority of course when doing my associates for transfer. At my original school the courses state UC and USC eligible for transfer. The course description matching the course description at UTPB. However, they will not honor the course because the class is not labeled (numbered) the same as UTPBs.

I've had 2 advisors in 1 year and each have given me a different degree plan, and lacked updating it with courses I took at UTPB.

The advisor I currently have... Read More told me I didn't need a class and then after dropping it came back and said I actually did need the class.

I have reached out to the Dean several times and am now being ignored after our meeting 3 weeks ago to find out why my classes aren't transferring and when I could actually graduate.

This school is not worth the time and energy. There's a reason it's a cheaper UT school. I would not recommend!

I attended UTPB Online 2014-2016. Overall, my experience was pleasant. My academic adviser as well as various professors were very supportive. I majored in Communications and minored in Sociology; I believe that the courses were rigorous and engaging.

The only problem I encountered (on multiple occasions) was accuracy and politeness with the representatives in the Financial Aid Department. I appreciate the Falcon Promise they offered/provided to me. Due to the fact that I was considered low-income, combined with my GPA, The Falcon Promise covered any tuition and fees that my grants did not cover. This lifted a heavy burden off my shoulders.

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin provided a great teacher to student ratio which made learning from instructors a more personal and sincere experience. The Biology program was extremely challenging but still prepared me with the knowledge needed for Physician Assistant school. My two most influential instructors were Dr. Richard Douglas Spence and Dr. Doug Henderson. I think that the pros of this graduate program are the different types of courses that are offered and what a student can learn from them. There are also numerous opportunities for networking with people who are interested in the teaching field which is something that I want to get into. The cons of the graduate program is that though there are different types of courses, they are only 3 or 4 offered a semester for the English program. I am currently taking online courses while working as a full time teacher. I knew it was going to be intense but some classes are rediculously intense. There are some professors who don't think about those students who have a full time job. This program is supposed to be for the ones who are already educators. They are very hard and demanding.
