If your looking for an online school i recommend to keep looking. UCF Online sucks!! Its a hurry up and wait scenario in which advisors and so called success coaches dont answer their phones and never call you back. There's no guidance or assistance. You have to navigate their class enrollment system on your own unless you want to wait the three weeks it takes to get an advising appointment. Also, If you have any issues requiring immediate assistance you're not going to get it. You're better off enrolling in person. They have the worst online program i've come across and I came in as a transfer student. I should have transferred somewhere else.

UCF always felt like a home to me, despite its huge campus and student body. Within my specific major I found lots of resources and support. Peer advisors were especially helpful because it was advice given from actual students who took the same classes I did. I also enjoyed most of my classes, and those classes I found difficult, the professors and teaching assistants always took the time to help me understand concepts and prepare for exams. I loved my time as an undergrad at UCF and would recommend it to anyone. College is what you make of it, and UCF offers lots of opportunities to make college the best years of your life.

The Psychology undergraduate program at UCF is incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The campus is beautiful and the environment is all around pleasant. The psychology degree requires you to choose a track which was not available during my time, but I think it is extremely helpful. These tracks include clinical, industrial/organizational, neuroscience, experimental, human factors, or general. These tracks help students gear their electives to their interests. It is easy to build relationships with them. I also received a minor in Human Services and loved this program as well. I believe it has transitioned to completely online, but these courses really help you understand helping professions and how to be a helper to people. UCF as a whole has hundreds of inclusive organizations and events that really make the campus feel like home. There are clubs for everyone. Anything from personal interest to professional interest type organizations can be found here. The campus is extremely diverse and welcoming to all backgrounds and students. Student life here is always active and there is always something to do. From sporting events, to free concerts, to jumping in the reflection pond during homecoming week, UCF has it all. I enjoyed my time living on campus my first year because it really helped me become a part of the community. There is also a dining program available to students.

Located in Orlando, FL, the University of Central Florida provides their large number of students with vast opportunities no matter what degree program you're in. For Psychology, I felt that the Psychology advising department gave me the leg up on any psych-related opportunities and assisted me in engaging with extra-curricular activities in the university. The University of Central Florida is the second largest school in the nation. The psychology program is one of the largest at the school. If you do not need hands on attention, this school could be everything you ever dreamed of. The amount of diversity this school has is amazing. Every day I met someone new. Psychology is the largest major program at UCF, and they definitely have the respective resources. The professors want you to excel, there are research and volunteer opportunities everywhere, and overall the Psychology major program has a lot of great people who will help you succeed in your future careee path, as well as give you a good idea of who your competition will be in the workforce. Overall, I have enjoyed my time spent at UCF. I feel that my education here has value. I had several great professors that made me eager to learn and even more excited about my field, psychology. I did take a few transient courses at a community college. To compare the rigor, there is no competition. I felt as if I was back in high school when I took a few general education courses at the local community college. I have always had trouble with writing, so I made sure to attend office hours for my composition classes because I wasn't confident about writing a Literature Review or an Auto-Ethnography. I was a little uneasy about safety, simply because it is a large school. There are over 60,000 students and it is the second largest university in the United States. Also, there were a few incidents that made uneasy, which were out of the university's hands. There was a hack of social security numbers and a mass shooting in downtown Orlando, but like I said the university couldn't do anything more to prevent these events. The financial aid office is helpful, but the processing of paperwork takes 4-6 weeks. So, I would advise one to file paperwork early and properly. Finally, I'd like to touch on the diversity here. There are so many different ethnic and cultural groups, that no one can feel out of place. I am an African American without any religious affiliation and academically inclined. I joined an honor society and have made life long friends. I'd also like to note that the amount of diversity is a deterrent of many prejudiced people. I hadn't encountered any animosity due to a category that I'm associated with. In sum, this is a great university. I would highly recommend to students that are up for a challenge and aren't intimidated by the size.

The University of Central Florida is an outstanding institution to come to, network, have fun, and get an education. The psychology degree program has plenty to offer and jobs can be found around the greater Orlando and Tampa area after completion of work. There's internships, labs, and many more things you can do in order to be successful enough to learn and get into a nice Master's degree program and Doctorate's. I did Direct Connect, a program where if you are accepted to UCF from the local Junior College, you enter in as a junior. Classes were offered at the same junior college for UCF as there are UCF campuses sharing the junior college campus. Some of the students are very involved. I was not able to be as involved because I worked daytime hours and could only attend evening courses. The interdisciplinary studies department at UCF is not for everyone. One has to do most of the work yourself because there is not much guidance. You are severely restricted with what classes you can take because each department doesn't consider you a student. I wasn't able to take upper level classes in education or psychology because I wasn't considered a student in their department even though I was a declared IDS student with those selected disciplines. I went to Valencia Community College and received my Associates degree, and then finished my Bachelors Degree at UCF. I loved being a student at UCF for many reasons. I found the Professors to be helpful, inspiring, motivating and passionate about helping students learn and achieve success with the classes. The campus has a gym, restaurants, medical center, book store, computer center, library, and student help desk when your computer does not work right at your finger tips. I loved the UCF campus, and I would recommend the school to anyone interested in going to college.
