Great environment for a first gen student to attend and get ahead in their academic career. Teachers and professors were helpful most of the time and their is a lot to offer for the students to do. Gyms and local events were great and I gained a lot of new friends on the way

This school was great. I had a lot of time to develop myself as a person, and I liked most of the classes I took. It was a good place to find your footing, and the setup of the campus is amazing. I found my best friends and had a wonderful time in my clubs as well. However, I still do not have a job out of college, so there was little to no help with that.

Engineering at UIUC was an amazing experience. I lived north of green street and didn't venture too far south of that street. The campus felt more like a town and less like a school. It was integrated into a town and had tons of entertainment, food, bars and nightlife to keep school interesting

UIUC has a ton of opportunities and some really thorough connections especially to the biggest Midwestern cities like Chicago. It set me up with the best of friends, and really gainful employment (as well as 3 internships), and a really strong education. The campus has a surprising amount to do for a relatively small college town. Green street is fun, and the campus has plenty of amenities. I loved the ARC!

University of Illinois Urbana - Champaign was a great school to attend and meet some of the best people you'll ever meet in your lifetime. The school environment, while the classes being engaging and helpful has been super impactful for my career after college. In addition, the alumni network of UIUC goes a long way, as in my career, I have met with many other UIUC alums and the tight core network has made it easy to connect with others in my career field.

UIUC is a great school. I had the best experience as a student. Faculty were very supportive and knowledgeable in their field. In regards to tuition its very affordable and was able to save money. After graduating, I benefited from the degree as I was able to get a teaching job. I would recommend this school to any one that is interested.

Great option for non-traditional students seeking an advanced degree. Professors are engaged with and care about older students just as much as traditional students. Mix of online and in person classes is great. Graduate degree from UIUC holds an excellent reputation in professional circles.

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Overall, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is a great place to get my Ph.D. The town is affordable and has many options for free or cheap entertainment - I love the Rose Bowl and the Farmer’s Market. Generally, the department is very supportive and I have received many opportunities to advance my research.

I was pleased with my undergraduate experience at the University of Illinois. The staff and university personnel were incredibly well versed in their areas of focus. While the campus culture can be very party-heavy, I found that many students were very invested in studying and committed to their learning.

My school was great. The academics provided a strong background to prepare me for work. The engineering resources go beyond good classes, to projects and competitions, and extracurriculars. I was able to join a consuting firm run by students to help healthcare startups

UIUC was an excellent experience. In my time there, I got to meet a number of like-minded people focused on improving themselves and learning about their subject matter. I also got the opportunity to meet a number of talented professors with my particular sub-field. My only gripe is that much of the coursework for my major in particular (Physics) felt unnecessary and like a waste of time.

Illinois was a great school to meet other driven people who I had similar values with. I have many lifelong friends still from the school. However, it is a big machine and it is easy to feel lost in it. I don't think the school does enough to help student identify with their time their, versus the people they met. Likely why it has one of the lowest donation rates in the big 10.

Part of what makes college such a different experience for everyone is that there is no one "correct" way to get through college - a student can become an artist while discovering a new love for chemistry or pursue a pathway to graduate school and beyond by spending all their free time in the stacks. UIUC gives their students the opportunity to explore all aspects of themselves once left to their own devices - academically, socially, spiritually, and physically.

I really enjoyed my time at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout my time, I was able to be around a wide variety of people and have plenty of fun. I was in a very difficult major, which really fostered camaraderie among the students. I would certainly recommend the school.

I had a lot of trust in most of my professors. With my major, I felt like I was getting my moneys worth out of the school. I gained knowledge and practical experience that could not easily be substituted by online activities. I also found the process of switching majors to be very easy.
