Part of what makes college such a different experience for everyone is that there is no one "correct" way to get through college - a student can become an artist while discovering a new love for chemistry or pursue a pathway to graduate school and beyond by spending all their free time in the stacks. UIUC gives their students the opportunity to explore all aspects of themselves once left to their own devices - academically, socially, spiritually, and physically.

I really enjoyed my time at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout my time, I was able to be around a wide variety of people and have plenty of fun. I was in a very difficult major, which really fostered camaraderie among the students. I would certainly recommend the school.

I had a lot of trust in most of my professors. With my major, I felt like I was getting my moneys worth out of the school. I gained knowledge and practical experience that could not easily be substituted by online activities. I also found the process of switching majors to be very easy.

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has an enormous atmosphere of opportunity. There is so much to be involved with socially, recreationally, and academically. I was a pre-med biology major. There is so much opportunity for research and volunteering. Outside of my major, I was also exposed to some of the best engineering and agricultural resources, which was really eye-opening to see other career paths and innovation. The social scene is incredible. Greek life is massive, but so many options... Read More

University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is a really great school as long as you apply and utilize the resources you are provided. From the range of classes to the extracurriculars, there is something for someone to progress them down the path of success. There’s even fun classes like bowling just so you can show off in social groups! From my experience, even though I was not able to utilize the degree in my career as I chose different paths, even just having a degree from this school put me above... Read More

I graduated from the University of Illinois nearly a decade ago, and I can say that it's made a great impact on my life. Learning from world-class professors helped me to think about the world deeply, and I still use many concepts today. My time at UIUC was special, and it's something that I will always cherish.

I spent six and a half years at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing both my undergrad and two masters degrees. While I attended, I had the opportunity to discover independence in everyday life, which meant that I could do anything I set my heart to, but also manage the consequences of whatever I chose. Being at such a large school meant that there were people I could see everyday that I had never seen previously. At the same time, it felt welcoming in that it felt like a small... Read More

The U of I offers a wide range of programs, services, and community that allows for many students to find their calling, friends, and personality in a manner that is organic and meaningful. However there was a distinct disconnect between what was taught in the classroom versus what mattered in the professional world, at least in the ChBE department. Theory was emphasized over practicality until the senior year, and even then that was a rushed and not-well handled transition that left many inexperienced... Read More

The NRES department at my university has been incredibly welcoming and helpful to my overall education. While I cannot speak for other departments on campus, the overall vibe of this college feels very normal compared to other campuses I have either attended or visited as an undergrad.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was a great school, I really enjoyed my time there. The campus was great and decently walkable, we had a great bus system that allowed you to get all around the town. Campus nightlife was excellent, you never felt like there was nothing to do. Academics were great, I loved all my classes and professors.

University studies were good. The professors were former business CEOs or startup leaders with years of experience but with a passion on passing on knowledge to the next generation of business students. The social life also adds to the experience and knowledge that an online class could not replicate. I would highly recommend this university.

For academics, UIUC is top-notch. Especially for students interested in engineering, business, or science, UIUC provides many academic resources, research opportunities, and clubs for networking and experience. Campus life is lacking; the weather is subpar and there isn't much to do outside of campus.

I think that the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a fantastic school and one that I would highly recommend. There are a wide variety of majors at the school, and I went to the business school for undergraduate and graduate studies. The campus and its buildings are quite nice, and there is a good balance of academic and social opportunities for students to get involved in. You can have a lot of fun at this university while also receiving a great education.

I would recommend this school to anyone, however, I went to two years of junior college elsewhere before I went to the University of Illinois. In fact, the only reason I went to the University of Illinois is because I had already taken classes there through my junior college. For whatever reason, my junior college offered those credits for students who intended to go to the U of I. I took advantage of that because it was much cheaper, and I didn't have to live in Champaign-Urbana as long. That was... Read More

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a solid university overall. It is aesthetically what you would expect from a Midwest college campus and has a really impressive quad available for students. I thought the academic quality was good overall, but it is a state school and not an Ivy or something similar which is why I gave it 3 stars. I think it's a solid/good school and it did help me go on to more prestigious levels of education.

One of the best schools in the USA for computer science. The courses are flexible and the instructors are wonderful, some of the course's grading system is not that great but overall it's fantastic, you will learn a lot from these courses. It very challenging as well, they follow rigorous training, projects, assignments, exam, and quiz. One need to study a lot but at the same time, one will able to gain great knowledge on each subject.

I loved UofI, it provided a great community for me to grow and learn. I loved the variety of classes offered and the campus itself was gorgeous. I had good relationships with my professors and was never afraid to ask questions or for help. I found that the on campus options for libraries and other places to study was amazing, there were places all over campus. There are also a variety of clubs and activities going on that it is easy to find your place somewhere in the larger university.
