One of the things that drew me to this school is for the ability to take classes online. At the time I was working full time 12-hour shifts, online classes were all I can take for this kind of schedule. I enjoyed going part time to this school as the courses that were required for me to complete my Master's degree varied in difficulty. University of Maryland, Global Campus is a great school for those that work full time or have very busy schedules. The classes are mostly online but you can take courses in person or that are hybrid. For me, taking classes online was the best choice and easiest for my schedule.

I did my masters in Biotechnology:with a specialization in Bioinformatics. The class I took that for Biotechnology or basic coding related were great. Any class to do with bioinformatics was a joke. You only end up taking a few class that are related to bioinformatics and this leaves you wholly unprepared to work in the bioinformatics field. I am a military spouse that needed a reputable school that would flexible with our duty station rotations. I received my second bachelors from UMUC then rolled into my Masters program. My only issue with the school is the Financial Aid office needs to be contacted 1-2 per semester. The degree confer process took almost 2 months, considering you pay $50 to have them validate course work and print a diploma, that was a long time to me.
