I'm currently an online student at University of Phoenix, working toward my Associate of Science in Cybersecurity, and so far it's been a solid experience. I started with CYB/100T, which gives a good foundational overview of the cyber domain before diving into more technical material, and the structure has made it easy to ease into the program without feeling overwhelmed right away.
As someone juggling life outside of school, the flexibility of the online format has been a huge plus. Classes are structured... Read More

In my cybersecurity program it moved rapidly. When doing labs there were quite a few labs that there were technical issues and usually the teacher would tell you just to go on to the next lab or move to the section of labs so sometimes you would miss important facts. Teachers would reply in a timely manner.I have had to go elsewhere to get the education needed. I came out not ready for employment. I didn't get the codes or enough information to do procedures.

Sometimes I think the instructors are just AI generated. I learn more from watching YouTube videos then the class structure that they have. The labs constantly crash. If they’re not crashing the freezing up. If you try to get tech-support, you’re gonna waste hours of your life trying to get it fixed. It’s basically read this do a lab and write a post.
Hi Ryan, we're concerned to learn about your experience and we'd like to look into this. We take pride in our real-world faculty and our staff assisting our students to reach their goals. I am currently attending the University of Phoenix. So far it has been a pleasant experience. The only downfall is that some instructors have there own method of grading which sometimes it is unfair. As for some labs I am doing for my major some of it is slightly off which they need to correct. In my Major which is Cybersecurity when dealing with scripts in terminal, in order to execute an SQL query, CApitals and lowercase matter. In some content some of it was shown wrong which isn't the right method... Read More

I’ve had a few hiccups with the quizzes . Some quizzes have faulty answers to couple questions . Other than that the instructors and advisors have been exceptional answering any questions I’ve had and resolved most issues . When it comes to the courses reading materials and assignments I feel they are well established and engaging.
