While I had a few hiccups regarding TPD, I will say the classes are good. The instructor's are knowledgeable, and willing to teach and make sure you know the topic. The experience I have had so far with the student financial office has not been that great. Some of the people are good and helpful while some are void of emotion and act like they can't assist with the issue at hand. Knowing is half the battle, and If I had known how little weight this degree carried in the industry for even entry level positions I would have not chosen to spend upwards of 40k on the degree. There needs to be more emphasis on projects and internships/work programs if this is to be considered "to help get careers and to provide with skills employers want". The career tool does little to help because it states you are qualified for positions you will never get with just this degree behind you.... Read More There is no portfolio building or job fair type programs for the online campuses and no stressing of getting in internships in your softmore-senior years, and the curriculum is definitely lacking for areas jobs actually want. I had hopes that having a BCS and AAIT would help get my foot in the door but that has not been the case.

Honestly, before applying I looked for many reviews but could not find what I was looking for and decided to give it a try. The system of learning is just some writing with activities, which are nice, but the regular discussion posts are just annoying, not helpful and it gets repetitive every week. First you will find them fun but, you will hate it afterwards, no doubt it improves your writing skills. I passed almost everything with 30 min study time 3 times a week with grade A. So, think about it.... Read More Grades are not important here, its what you learn and how it will help you in your future job. There are no exams, yay! but, I am not spending 60,000 on a degree which does not have proper testing practices. I mean think about how employers will look at your degree, even though its valid. So, awesome university with career, finance, and online system, but thats not enough and its not what students want the most. There should be better tutors, live classes with live mentoring and regular video study sessions to keep students motivated. Lastly, exams, both multiple choice and performance based. I completed and passed two courses with easy A grade. Currently, looking for better and cheaper options. Forgot to mention, it is very expensive for what it provides.

I am attending this school as I write, but I am very unhappy with thier whole scheme of business. I have finished my AA, and have moved on to my BA, which I am only half way through. Now all of the sudden I am getting a bill for $2700, which must be paid in full or I can not continue. I have been trying to get my financial aid councilor on the phone, but it is like pulling teeth. No awnsered, and when I leave a message or email him, he never gets back to me. Finally he gets back to me today, two... Read More months by the way, and he tells me the reason I have a balance is because my financial aid does not fully cover each class by about $50 or so. So that is why I have a balance. Why did they not inform me of this right away I would of paid it then, $50 every so often is doable, but $2700 now is a bit harder. So if I don't pay they are going to turn me into collection which will hurt my credit. What a bunch of bullshit! I would transfer but many schools will not take credits from UOP, so I would have to start over which is something I do not want to do. As far as the classes go, many of the reviews are correct, some of the teacher do not do what is necessary to fulfill acquired criteria. I have had teacher that cared nothing but about your grammar. I wrote a paper in one class that was nothing but garbage, but I payed close attention to grammar and citations, and low and behold, all my points, and just the opposite in others. Don't get me wrong I have had some great teachers and learned a lot, but over all it seems like its just a way for investors or the university to make money, not to see people exceed. I will finish, but disgruntled as I go. I will be glad and proud of my degrees, but I will not ever indorse this school. Way to much drama and organized business that are wacky. By the way, some one with a review above said they had many different councilors assigned to them, it is true, I have a different financial and Acedemic councilor ever class, sometimes two per class that are changed out. This is most likely a large portion of thier issue. Uninformed and unexperienced individuals in these positions, creating confusion among students. This is why ther are so many bad reviews.
