Degree: Human Resources

University of Phoenix offers the flexibility of working through classes on your own time, while providing a robust and informative curriculum that allows students to excel in their careers. As a working mother of three children, I needed the flexibility of an online program, as well as the knowledge that comes along with obtaining a Master's Degree. My children get to see how hard mommy is working with school and work, and I don't feel as though this would be possible with out the University of Phoenix.... Read More

I love UoP but am getting a little disappointed with the advisors with the MBA program. With my bachelors, my academic counselor would call me at the end of each of my classes to make sure all was well and to see if I needed anything with my next class. This was nice because I felt like they cared and didn't just want my money. Now with my masters I have never heard from him unless I called to ask questions. I am taking a leave of absences for the summer and he never called or changed my schedule... Read More

Attending the University of Phoenix is one of the best decisions I have ever made. After completing my undergraduate program, I felt the need to pursue my MBA. Obtaining my MBA in HR Management will help me to stay competitive, teachable, and open doors, which will lead to great opportunities. School has always and will be a major part of my life. Completing my Master's Degree will give me a sense of accomplishment and will help me to provide better for my family. Earning your degree is not always... Read More

I have been with UOP since 2007 and have had the pleasure of having some of the best academic counselors that has helped me succeed in my future endeavors to obtain my educational pursuits. Continuing ones' education or going back to school after so many years takes much dedication and focus. Once you take that first step, you and only you hold the key to your future. I am a Phoenix

The University of Phoenix not only provided a curriculum and interface that was suitable for an individual like myself, maintaining two jobs and wanting to further my education but it also provided me the opportunity of networking with individuals around the country. The one thing I have learned throughout my career is the importance of being able to build your network and maintain relationships. Not only do you get to experience other's cultures and a glimpse of their background through conversation... Read More

As a working student, who is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree, it is imperative for me to have the flexibility to continue my aspirations of higher education while advancing myself with knowledge, skills and techniques which serve me in my current workplace. I highly recommend University of Phoenix (UOP) FlexNet program for traditional students having completed an Undergraduate degree looking for that opportunity in which most traditional educational programs have yet to provide. I speak from... Read More

I have to start off by saying that any review you read make sure you are reading in detail their problem. Could the problem have been avoided by the student? What could the student/teacher done to correct it? Could the student have done more on their part? These questions need to be answered in order to for the review to be effective when there are negative reviews. I have had a near perfect experience with this university. I have not had any problems with my classes being scheduled or with professors.... Read More

Degree: Human Resources

Personally, I enjoy the online learning environment, not only does it fit my needs but it also provides greater opportunities to learn with other cultures and backgrounds of people. This is also what can make the classroom challenging as well, but it continues to prove to be beneficial. The program is fast paced, but the resources and support are available to help when you need it most. I also tend to enjoy the fast paced environment as I feel that I cam completing courses, and ultimately my degree,... Read More

I know many people feel online college is easy, but that is far from the truth. The level of work expected by faculty is very high. The help is there if you need it and ask for it. You are expected to get your work done and submitted on time...no exceptions. It's a great school.

The pros include flexibility, accessibility and provides a diverse classroom setting. Engaging in the online setting and receiving feedback and seeing the different perspectives of others leads to better understanding of the subjects. The only con that really worries me is whether employers will frown upon my online degree. Even though I have worked very hard and believe that I have gained a valuable education some employers may beg to differ.

I really like the diversity of the classmates, the material itself with discussion boards. I know that the material that I am learning is valuable. Everyday that I go to work I see the things I read about unfold in front of me. The only thing I dislike about the program is the learning teams. That is group projects. Sometimes it can be frustrating because you often have people in different time zones and some are lazy and dont want to do the work.

The program has a set catalog, a student does not have the ability to take different classes to personalize their education. However, the classes issued are extremely valuable toward work experience

University of Phoenix is committed to helping working adults achieve their educational goals. The programs are difficult but manageable. The campus is easy to find and navigate. Online courses can be difficult because much of the material is learned through reading.

I love the feedback from professors, the communication and encouragement of the faculty along the way with advisers, the help from financial aid counselors, and also the material. You always assume that with online classes you can just search for answers and not learn anything but I can honestly say Ive learned more with these online courses than I just about have doing my undergraduate on campus. Love this school.

As I start my graduate program there are many different reasons why I selected the University of Phoenix, one, they are flexible with classes and start times, two, the facility and support staff make the experience enjoyable by focusing on studies instead of logistics.
