I love UoP but am getting a little disappointed with the advisors with the MBA program. With my bachelors, my academic counselor would call me at the end of each of my classes to make sure all was well and to see if I needed anything with my next class. This was nice because I felt like they cared and didn't just want my money. Now with my masters I have never heard from him unless I called to ask questions. I am taking a leave of absences for the summer and he never called or changed my schedule... Read More and I had to call and talk to someone else cause he is never available. I am currently deciding over the next two months to continue to come back or go some where else.

Attending the University of Phoenix is one of the best decisions I have ever made. After completing my undergraduate program, I felt the need to pursue my MBA. I speak from... Read More experience in that I have attempted two traditional graduate level degree programs in which balancing of work-life and school was not manageable. UOP provided this flexibility of classroom with working professionals who not only had academic knowledge to share but work experience to broaden my understanding of business principles and how to apply them. Having had a positive experience in achieving my Master's degree, I elected to return for my journey along a Doctoral degree in Health Administration. As I am soon to complete this program I am confident that I have received the necessary skills for the continuation of my research as a practitioner in my profession. As a doctoral learner what is key is gathering the skills necessary to further your field through use of the scientific research method. It is my belief that I have receive excellent training in the step by step training in the scientific research method.

I have to start off by saying that any review you read make sure you are reading in detail their problem. Could the problem have been avoided by the student? What could the student/teacher done to correct it? Could the student have done more on their part? These questions need to be answered in order to for the review to be effective when there are negative reviews. I have had a near perfect experience with this university. I have not had any problems with my classes being scheduled or with professors.... Read More Some professors were harder than others but that is at any college. I ran into one issue with financial aid after the university scheduled my class to start 2 weeks after my last class ended. Financial aid called me and said my classes would be dropped because I had not been active for 2 weeks. I informed them t was because my classes were scheduled two weeks apart. I was informed in the future to sign a leave of absence for those two weeks so I would not be in fear of having my financial aid dropped. I also think financial aid needs to create a medium between them and academics so students will not get their classes dropped on behalf of the university's doing. Other than that everything has been wonderful. I have honestly learned a lot and have become more focused and disciplined through these rigorous online classes.

Personally, I enjoy the online learning environment, not only does it fit my needs but it also provides greater opportunities to learn with other cultures and backgrounds of people. This is also what can make the classroom challenging as well, but it continues to prove to be beneficial. The program is fast paced, but the resources and support are available to help when you need it most. The workload may sometimes feel overwhelming, but in reality it is all about time management and maintaining your drive to succeed and earn your degree.
