Degree: Dental Assistant
Do not go to this school for dental assisting. The instructors seem miserable and will call you out in front of everyone instead of professionally and ethically asking if you need their help. There are a lot of dental assisting programs and this one should be marked as one of the worst programs.

As a recent Graduate student of UIW, I can state without a doubt that it was the best decision to make. The Faculty was beyond amazing and helpful. I loved the flexibility for both in-person and online. Through COVID, my instructors we're understanding and made sure to inquire progress and extended time if possible and made themselves available when needed. As a result to my experience, I will be continuing my academic journey by participating in their DBA Program after receiving my acceptance letter... Read More

Love this school. It's a private college with small campus and lower student to teacher ratio, which means you can get more one-on-one help than if you went to a huge public school. I really like the opportunities this school presents. Career fairs, job fairs, seminars, tons of clubs, independent studies, internship opportunities. Even just talking to your professors. There are many chances to learn all about your field and even get your foot through the door by taking up all the opportunities advertised... Read More
As for the biology major itself, it's not the best in the state or nation, but its far from being the worst. I found it fairly rigorous and learned a lot. Get the education your program requires, but definitely take up those internships and networking chances as well. Biology has a lot of those. Lastly, the campus is very cozy. It's surrounded by nature. During the Christmas holidays, things really kick off, with festivals and colorful lights put up everywhere on campus.
Overall, I loved my time here. It was great academically and socially. I do not regret a single thing after having graduated from here.

UIWs School of Professional Studies (SPS) is a great experience. It can be challenging since you are more than likely full-time employed as well as studying full time. It is accelerated in nature with 8 week course. With all that said it is TOTALLY beneficial when you walk away with a private school degree that stands out from the rest.
The professors are all highly knowledgeable in their respective field and have a passion to make sure you understand what is going on as well as teaching you what... Read More

Degree: Pharmacy
The Feik School of Pharmacy at the University of the Incarnate Word offers a great pharmacy program. Despite the high tuition, FSOP is committed to teach and prepare their student pharmacists as leaders in the community of health care educators and practitioners, who are advocates dedicated to the delivery of superior, patient-centered, team care and enhancement of the quality of life for all citizens.

Exceptional school with professors that challenge their students to develop innovative ways to solve relevant and complex issues found in today's business environment. Curriculum has equipped me with the skill set to go beyond typical business parameters by contributing creative solutions, exposing talents within my employees, and building self-managing teams. Truly happy about the value of my education from this institution.

Degree: Organizational Leadership
The MSODL online program lacks many of the core curriculum you would expect for an alternative to the MBA. I advise civilians to pursue other universities as UIW is focused on the military leadership objectives rather than the students who are not using a GI Bill to fund the program. The professors are great, but the administration including academic advisors and financial aid/business offices fall short on all fronts. Overall, the university earns a C- in my honest opinion at nearly $60,000 for... Read More

University of the Incarnate Word offers a quality education with small class sizes and a faculty and staff that genuinely are invested in their students' progress and interests. College was a wonderful experience overall. Specifically for me, I lover learning and it was the perfect way for me to experience something new while progressing my knowledge. However, it's expensive and can be a burden if one isn't able to sacrifice for their experiences.

Degree: Accounting
This was my second master's degree, and from the beginning I found the courses to be more than adequate in preparing me for my future role in the accounting field. Having previously worked as a controller for a multi-million dollar company, I was pleased with the level of instruction, and expertise that I was able to achieve.

This school is definitely very involved with the community. They are growing so rapidly ! Almost every degree here is highly recognized. From business, to even fashion design. With all of the clubs and organizations that they have you'll be able to fit in somewhere. Even at orientation they encourage new students to attend certain events so they can meet other students. The classes are the perfect size and you really get that one on one with professors. This is also very beneficial when you are looking... Read More

My advisors, instructors, and the Veteran' Affairs office are always available to help me! UIW also discounts tuition to match tuition assistance for active duty personnel, which makes this an even more amazing opportunity. I am very happy with the practicality and applicable nature of the MSODL degree program. The course materials and discussions have helped me to develop, both professionally and personally; I have also made many connections in the OD field.

UIW is truly a yellow ribbon school to both DoD and Civilians. As a civilian it was hard to manage work travel and getting an MBA. I transferred to UIW because of a) diversity of students b) flexibility in managing work/school balance c) educational experience. It was a way better fit for me and glad I went through the program. I have and will continue to boast the amazing MBA education I received from the University of the Incarnate Word.

Since I stepped foot on campus I have been treated with the upmost respect by all faculty, staff and students. My voice has been heard when I have requests. I am able to speak my mind and let my opinion be known in class discussions. I am accepted and respected as an adult, as a human and as an equal to my peers and professors. I have had the privilege of learning from our very own Professors who was the recipient of the Moody Award, Dr. Perry. He teaches Research and Writing techniques and was able... Read More
