UWM is a very typical college. Most undergrad classes are large lecture style and graduate classes are usually smaller lecture/discussion style. The education you receive is adequate, the campus is large, and the cost is quite reasonable.

It was a decent school. There were a lot of courses to choose from. I did all online schooling from a distance, and it worked out well. Some professors were better than others.

I'm really enjoying my graduate program and UW-Milwaukee! Financial aid isn't the best (so I'm hunting for scholarships) but the education is worth the price and the professors are friendly, helpful, and well-connected. Transportation, safety and affordable housing are typical for a big metropolitan city like Milwaukee, but the university is located on the east side, which is a really nice area.

I do distance learning with UWM, so I rely heavily on email communication. Most of the staff and faculty at UWM are fantastic at responding, and giving valuable feedback. I wish there was more ways for use online students to connect with those in our area. The graduate program that I'm in is in the top 10 in the nation, so I know I'm in good hands.

The professors are very helpful and accessible. The graduate advisors were also there and ready to provide answers. My advisor helped me create a class plan so that I knew exactly what classes I should take and when.
