need to work on administration and need to improve "chain of command" type communication since no one ever responds to you when needed. They do tend to reach out immediately when things such as tuition payments or dropping you (from what ive seen other students say)

The education was okay, but the overall experience with the school was not. The school was very expensive and didn’t offer a lot to actually make up for what we were paying for. We graduated during Covid and theirs were no accommodations or even price drops even though we didn’t get any of the things promised to us.

I personally have had a great experience at this school. Personally, all these complaints about the pricing, its no secret that this school charges alot. Regarding academics, being a current student, you are able to see the difference with the students who are disssatisfied and who are happy with this school. In my experience the dissatisfied students are the ones who dont take this program serious and wait for things to be handed to you. Nursing school is hard, however i feel like its how you tackle... Due to life circumstances, I failed a class. I have asked several times for re-instatement in order to finish up my degree and was turned down. My appeal was denied as well. It just made me feel that the school only cares about the tuition that they already collected, and not about the huge amount of debt that the student already incurred with nothing to show for.

I was asking to continue my education although I would incur more debt to achieve the degree that I was seeking. Yet, they did not want... Read More

The school is great and amazing teachers. However, the financial aid department needs a little work. There’s a woman there that doesn’t know how to speak to students and offers little to no help with finances. It always seems like she doesn’t want to interact with students.

West Coast university Ontario was not a good choice . I was looking to get into nursing school because I was tired of waiting. Wcu got me with the every 10 weeks is a different class . They don’t tell you quiz plus unnecessary busy online unreal senarios are required as well . I got dismissed with and overall Gpa 3.0 with 7 months left until graduation. They refused to let me back in because I failed with a C because my proctor exam took my critical score to a 74. The following term they eliminated... Read More

This is the WORST NURSING school ever. I attended for a couple semesters and I could have definitely gone to another nursing school that was better and around the same price. I went 70K dollars in debt and I really wish I could go back in time and not attend. There are no grant or scholarship options, they are very disorganized and don't explain things well. Felt like I was teaching myself most of the time. Just look elsewhere.

This school being a for-profit university is really out to get your money! Super expensive and offer no grants or scholarship.. you dependent on financial aid and they try to get you to sign and get on parent plus loans. The classes are a joke. I’ve seen so many promote it but no worth it. They have you take unnecessary classes.. I already have a bachelors and thought I’d get a second and major in nursing. Big mistake coming here.

Please read these reviews because they are not coming from a bad place. This school really is bad. Often times the professors don't show up for clinicals and you are there not knowing what to do. This happened to me twice during different terms. The school and staff don't communicate or return texts, emails, calls. The staff and dean are not helpful, even when it's something as simple where do I do if a teacher doesn't show. The worst part of the situations that come up is that as a student you are... Instructors in GE will help you succeed but when you get into CORE, it's the complete opposite. It really is a waste of time and money where financial aid will get back faster to you than academic advisors. The schools focus is on passing NCLEX so none of the other work matters. Deans will give instructors too much discretion in class. Instructors come from other jobs where there's no consistency. They don't reply to e-mails or calls and barely use the Remind app. They expect active learning to be... Read More

This school is a waste of time and money. If you are going to this school, you will regret it later. This school is a waste of time and money. For one class, they charged you $800.The passing grade is C+. They give you a lot of assignments in ati and many projects, but all of this does not provide you grade. It is a waste of time rather than preparing for tests. Please save yourself and do not attend this school.

This school traps you with false promises. The staff turnover is ridiculous. The staff talks to adults like children. This is my 3rd degree I know how school works no need to talk down on your students/customers. They highly recommend you quit your job. They require you to have health insurance however they don’t provide you with any resources to find affordable care. When asked about help they said to refer to student hand book.

The school is completely disorganized, students have no say on who their teachers are let alone when you have class. There is a reason they aren’t allowed to do clinicals at some hospitals. Pure laziness with administration and staff. Do not waste your money or time with such a horrendous “academic institution.

WCU is all about money. They charge $599 PER credit for GenEd & then $799 PER credit for the Core Nursing classes. Mind you most of the classes are 2-3 credit classes so you are paying around $1200+ for just ONE class. I had a lot of aid given to me by FAFSA both loans & grants & I still wasn't able to pay my tuition. They only give you grants if you apply for private loans you literally HAVE to apply & if you get it you have to use it or its not considered exhausting all your options (which is the... Read More

This university is all about the money and not about the success of their students. They picture rainbows and sunshine during your walking tour and trying to convince you to attend there. In reality though all they see all the dollar signs and how much they can suck out of you. I’m a mother of two and even quit my job to focus strictly on school. Yet as most parents know certain life challenges happen that are out of your control. I passed all my pre reqs and made it into the nursing core program.... Read More

West coast university sounds fantastic when you go in for your tour. They offer everything that you could possible need to pass their courses. The truth is, the nicest department is the financial aid department. You do not get the customer service or quality education you deserve for the money you pay. Staff is passive aggressive, they do not work with you. The program gives you a RIDICULOUS amount of busy unnecessary work that you do not have actual time to study the material for the tests that... Stay as far as you can from this place, it is a total rip-off. The school does not prepare you for a career in nursing. There have been several graduates express this to me while I have been going here, in fact, they do not teach you the necessary skills that help you develop as a nurse. Also, the skills are just passed along and never performed. Therefore, this hurts you when you have to perform these necessary skills in a hospital scenario. The professors are not interested in the student's success... Read More

So far this program has had ups & downs. Some hate it and some love it. I feel that I am learning and will be prepared as nurse. The right professors are challenging and prepare students for skills and future courses. It is not true that you will not be hired as a nurse if you go to this school, I know plenty that have! Overall- would recommend if you were in my spot at fighting every ADN program in Socal for a spot even with almost perfect grades.

(Disclaimer: I did not graduate from this school. It was added for requirement purposes) I left and went to another school. If this school doesn't care about you as a student then how can it teach you how to care about patients as people. This impersonal school will train you to be an impersonal nurse. Now you can say, "I'd rather be an impersonal nurse with good nursing skills than a personal nurse with bad nursing skills." Let me tell you, their classes are so easy that the reason I left to another... Read More
