So I've seen quite a few mixed reviews regarding SNHU and thought I would post some personal insight based on my own experiences. I currently work as an accountant for one of the top five companies in San Diego and completed my first bachelor's degree from a top tier university in the midwest. While I did not go to school for accounting, through a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck I was promoted into the financial field. Since I didn't go to school for accounting and am preparing to sit for... Read More

I love this school and how they teach at this school. I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting and I was able to get an accounting job while attending this school. I had a lot of great professors who would set up a time for me to call them when I needed help with an assignment. Capella University is accredited by acbsp which in the state of Illinois is a requirement to be able to sit for the CPA exam but you have to have some master degree classes taken before you can sit for it. My experiences with the university have been overall mixed during my attendance. I have had very positive experiences with some of the classes I had attended and the instructors who taught them were very interesting and knowledgeable, with the most being that they would both be teaching the subject but also have another job in the same subject they were teaching, allowing them to provide real world example from their own experiences. On the other hand I had also had negative experiences in which... Read More

Good for people wanting to go back for their Masters, as thy provide a lot of night classes. The Business school is what I have experienced with and the accounting teachers are not very passionate or helpful.
I wish they had more choices for professors in the accounting field. But they do have good degree programs and help connect students to jobs.

I think the school was more concerned with meeting funding or tuition goals then providing a quality education. There was less direction in terms of career paths, and some classes felt too easy compared to the rest of the courses, while other classes felt difficult but may have less relevance to the actual workplace.

LeMoyne was a terrific opportunity for me. I am an adult learner and went back to school after 8 years in the working world. The transition was easy, the teachers were wonderful, other students were helpful. A few classes seemed to use outdated material, but that depended on the teachers. Overall, if you are studying Business of any kind, LeMoyne is a great place to go.

My university has improved in the past four decades, but is still somewhat true to the old postulate, "If one can't go to university, go to Fairleigh.". Having now given short shrift to my alma mater; I managed to rise above its reputation, only to sink into lethargy and sloth, with subsequent effect to my earning ability.
