I am apart of the first cohort of online MSW students. The program started in August 2015. There were a lot of adjustments in the beginning, but the faculty remained very helpful and worked out the kinks quickly. The quality of education was not sacrificed through the online program and I am learning a lot. I cannot wait until graduation next May!

The environment created by administrators and staff at LSU's School of Social Work was highly engaging and supported my desire for academic challenges. It was not, however, insurmountably difficult to obtain a degree in this particular college. If you're looking more for social opportunities, they've got that covered too. I joined three separate organizations on campus within this college and was highly satisfied with the many opportunities to socialize with classmates.

The pros are the teachers are very well educated and offer the best MSW program. The con is that LSU is very expensive.

The quality of instruction in the MSW program at Louisiana State University is amazing. The professors take their time to get to know students on an individual basis, treating them as student-colleagues instead of just students. In this way, students begin to feel more professional in their field and also develop confidence. The financial aid is lacking, however.
