Analyzing the Best Online Business Degrees in Missouri

Missouri offers a variety of online business degree programs catering to diverse student needs and career aspirations. Our data we've collected not only provides insight into online popularity but also affordability, salary outcomes, and program accreditation.

Finding the Sweet Spot Between Cost and Value

While lower-cost schools are accessible, students must weigh tuition against graduate outcomes to identify programs offering the best return on investment. Missouri’s online business programs vary significantly in cost, with annual tuition ranging from $6,000 (City Vision University) to $33,316 (Missouri Baptist University). Schools like Bryan University ($12,184) and Southeast Missouri State University ($15,585) represent more budget-friendly options. However, affordability doesn't always equate to value, as seen with schools like University of Missouri, which, despite higher tuition ($31,970), delivers superior median earnings ($68,404).

Maximizing Earnings

Earnings among graduates show a wide range. Top earners include alumni from University of Missouri ($68,404) and Avila University ($65,226), whereas Bryan University graduates report the lowest earnings at $32,935.

We also want to note that graduates from AACSB-accredited schools consistently achieve high earnings, making these programs a worthwhile investment for students aiming to maximize their salary potential. AACSB-accredited institutions, such as University of Missouri-St. Louis ($54,470) and Southeast Missouri State University ($59,502), tend to deliver stronger salary outcomes, reinforcing the value of rigorous program standards.

Why AACSB Accreditation Matters

Out of the 24 schools analyzed, only six are AACSB-accredited, a benchmark for academic excellence in business education. These institutions include the University of Missouri, Missouri State University, and Southeast Missouri State University. AACSB accreditation ensures that programs meet strict quality standards, which is reflected in higher earnings and stronger career outcomes for graduates. AACSB-accredited programs stand out for their quality and employer recognition, offering graduates a competitive edge in the job market.

Keep in mind, however, that all online schools featured on our list and across our site are institutionally accredited.

Firsthand Accounts

Recommendation rates provide a unique window into the real experiences of students, showcasing what they value most about their programs — things that other statistics might miss. In Missouri, schools like Bryan University, Hannibal-LaGrange University, and Central Methodist University stand out with perfect 100% recommendation rates, reflecting strong student satisfaction. When picking an online business degree, looking at recommendation rates alongside traditional stats gives you a more complete picture of what to expect.

The complaints that I have are few, but common to all the courses so I will start with the positives. There are no expensive textbooks, the professors do not get kickbacks from publishers, and the courses guide the student along the same exact path as universities that require expensive textbooks. That being said, virtually none of the courses in the undergraduate program have an umbrella course that wraps everything up or boosts the student to a professional level. John Edwards, Graduated 2011

The Staff at California Coast was always helpful in my studies and time at California Coast. I have 4 children that I sent through RA Universities that graduated. Their degree plans or work was very similar in scope and length to California Coast University Degrees. I'm very proud to say I earned a degree from this University.

Please do not waste your money here. All my degree brought me was serious debt. They also do not have real job placement assistance. They will write you a resume. From there they tell you how you can enter it onto Indeed yourself. That is the extent of their job placement assistance. They wont tell you but they are a nationally accredited University, not regionally. Employers put a lot more stock in a degree from a regionally accredited university.
