How We Rank "Best" Schools

%%YEAR%% Best Online %%LEVEL_NAME%% in %%PROGRAM_NAME%% Badge

For the featured state, the OnlineU research team ranks institutionally accredited colleges and universities in each featured state using Salary Score, our proprietary measure of how graduates' earnings compare with those of students who earned the same degrees elsewhere. Using U.S. Department of Education earnings data, we compare each college's master's graduates with graduates of the same degrees nationwide, providing a degree-level perspective of financial outcomes rather than relying on institution-wide earnings.

When there isn't enough data to calculate a reliable Salary Score, we rank eligible schools by online enrollment, highlighting colleges with larger, more established distance-learning communities. While some of our rankings include partner schools, every school is evaluated using the exact same criteria.

Student Review Summary: Reviews of Florida Tech - Online are largely positive, centered on a rigorous, fast-paced experience that many say is clearly not a diploma mill. Students frequently praise the challenging coursework, practical assignments, supportive advisors, knowledgeable faculty, and the flexibility to balance school with full-time work. Several also value the school’s reputation, accreditation, and career relevance. Ashley Fernandez, Graduated 2015
Overall Rating: 4/5

I enjoy learning from Saint Leo University because I am able to continue my graduate education while also working a full-time job. The convenience and ease of working on school work with my schedule is something I love with the online program.

Student Review Summary: Reviews of Saint Leo University Online are sharply divided, though the overall pattern leans positive because many high-rated reviewers praise the flexibility, supportive advisors, and demanding coursework that fits around jobs, military service, and family life. Students often value responsive professors, easy-to-use online tools, and classes that feel rigorous rather than like a diploma mill. Negative reviewers focus on recurring operational failures: financial aid errors, unexplained charges, collections issues, weak instructor communication, confusing assignments, overpriced proprietary textbooks, and limited transferability. A notable takeaway is that satisfaction often hinges less on convenience and more on whether advising, billing, and instructor support function consistently.

Many describe responsive professors, attentive advisers, small classes, and a supportive environment that feels personal rather than anonymous. Online learners often praise flexible scheduling, manageable eight-week terms, easy-to-use technology, reasonable deadlines, and coursework that fits full-time work and family demands. Good school. The curriculum is well thought out with practical implications.

Student Review Summary: Reviews of Lynn University are polarized, though many describe strong faculty support, small classes, and a welcoming environment that helps you build confidence, collaborate easily, and access professors outside class. Several reviewers also value flexible pacing, including the ability to finish quickly, plus practical coursework, updated facilities, and a diverse community with many international peers. The most consistent complaint is cost: reviewers repeatedly warn that tuition, scholarships, and financial aid often do not match the price.
