Several reviewers also praise helpful professors, tutoring, smaller classes, and convenient campus locations. The most consistent dissatisfaction centers on administrative breakdowns, especially financial aid, advising, admissions, residency processing, and cashier operations. Reviewers describe unanswered emails, registration holds, scholarship mishandling, unclear guidance, and rude staff. A few also cite limited course availability, uneven campus conditions, weak instructional delivery in some classes, and disappointment with how credentials are labeled.

Student Review Summary: Reviews of Pensacola State College are generally favorable, driven by strong outcomes, affordability, and flexible scheduling, but tempered by administrative frustrations and uneven long-term value. Several reviewers praise a rigorous environment that pushes time management and critical thinking, with one noting the school’s reputation helped secure a hospital internship and a higher starting wage than a peer from another institution. Another highlights the ability to complete coursework almost entirely online for about $200 to $300 per class. The clearest drawback is bureaucracy: one reviewer says a missed update to retroactive requirements delayed degree conferral for multiple semesters, undermining momentum after graduation.

In-Depth Analysis: Florida’s Best Online Business Degrees

Choosing the right online business degree can be a game-changer for your career. With so many options in Florida, it’s all about finding the program that aligns with your goals, whether you’re aiming for higher salaries, career-focused specializations, or a flexible schedule that fits your busy life. Let’s dig into the details to help you uncover which school is the perfect match for your needs.

Boost Your Earnings with the Right Program

If you looking for a degree that pays off in the long run, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) takes the lead with graduates earning a median salary of $77,767 — far surpassing others on this list. The University of Florida (UF) is another standout option, with alumni earning around $63,871. Plus, it has the credibility of AACSB accreditation.

Want something more affordable that still has a good return on investment? St. Petersburg College and Florida State College in Jacksonville offer tuition under $10,000 while delivering salaries of $51,405 and $52,985, respectively. These schools show that you don’t have to spend a fortune to see solid returns.

Specializations That Set You Apart

Whether your ideal career involves crunching numbers or mastering strategy, Florida schools have you covered. Embry-Riddle’s business analytics degree is perfect for aspiring data scientists, offering SAS certification to boost your resume. FIU’s finance program prepares you for banking and investments, while St. Petersburg College lets you dive into international business services. Specialized tracks let you tailor your education to get the job you really want.

Staying on Track

Graduation and retention rates are critical indicators of student success and support. Once again, UF is mentioned as an excellent choice. It leads with an impressive 90% graduation rate and 97% retention rate, signaling strong student satisfaction and effective resources. Other public institutions, like Florida International University (FIU), also perform well, with a 69% graduation rate and 91% retention rate, proving their ability to guide students to completion.

On the other hand, schools like Daytona State College (42% graduation rate) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (20% graduation rate) highlight the challenges some students may face, though their programs may still offer strong benefits like affordability or specialized skills. When considering these metrics, think about how much support and structure you need to stay on track.

What Do Florida Students Say?

Student recommendations provide valuable insight into the experience you can expect. Once again, the data shows how UF and FIU lead the pack, with 91% recommendation rates, indicating that most students would choose these programs again. Florida Southern College also receives high marks, with a recommendation rate of 80%. Lower scores, like those from St. Petersburg College (43%) and Florida State College at Jacksonville (33%), suggest a more mixed experience.

Essential Insights for Choosing the Right Business Program

Consider ROI Over Affordability: Schools that deliver top salary outcomes make them worth the investment if your priority is a strong return. However, there are some affordable online business degrees in Florida that still provide solid earnings.

Look Beyond General Education: Specialized degrees and certifications can prepare you for in-demand careers in specific fields.

Evaluate Student Support: High graduation and retention rates indicate strong institutional support. Across our site, you can also examine student recommendation rates from hundreds of surveys we've collected.

Flexibility Makes a Difference: For working professionals, options like short eight-week terms or fully online degrees make education more accessible. Programs with 2+2 pathways provide seamless transitions for students with associate degrees.

We don't believe that success is just about picking the most popular or most affordable school. It’s about finding a program that balances flexibility, student support, and long-term career outcomes. This is a great institution for those that are looking for advancement in the workforce. They provide superior assistance in completing their program than a "traditional" university. In addition, for those of us that work, the accessibility is second to none. Nevertheless, no matter your future decision, make sure that you manage your DOE credit line, MGIB, and/or your personal finances properly.

I am currently in WGU BS-HR management and I am expecting to finish summer 2017. I had associate degree that I took 20 yrs ago and I attempted to get info from a couple of different online universities. My issue was always tuition. I could not commit $40000-50000 student loan when I enroll for two years to finish bachelor degree as single mom status. After long time research, I found WGU online and started very smoothly without huge financial commitment upfront. So far I am in 3rd term and I am doing... Read More

I've been attending NAU on and off for years. Military and family life is known for interrupting educational plans. I honestly don't know what I was thinking at first when I initially enrolled. It seems a bit silly to be hung-up on the name of a University but I regret not looking into a state university for their solid reputations. I think if NAU would change their commercial marketing to something a little more comparable to the age-old prestigious reputation of a state college, I would feel a... Read More

Quality education and professors. Currently working on my Master's Degree now with Ottawa. Courses do require hard work, time and research. But you will learn from these courses and be able to apply what you learn to your career, especially with the Management major.

Attended: University of Phoenix

University of Phoenix is very strong for those of us that are working adults managing personal live, work, and education. The class structure works well, and quite honestly success at UofP shows that you are driven as you must be self driven to survive and prosper in an online environment. I am impressed with the support I receive and had actually had my adviser stay on the phone with me to help me complete some task or deliverable. They are motivating and understand the challenges to adult learners.... Read More

I graduated from WGU in June of 2012. Before enrolling in WGU I completed an Associates Degree in Business Management from my local community college. I also had taken several courses at an expensive traditional school. Most of my credits transferred in. This helped to speed up the process. I found the course exam/final paper difficulty at WGU comparable to both the traditional school and the community college. However, there are no official classes or a professor explaining the subject matter chapter... Read More
